Study in France: Your Student Visa Guide

Types of France Student Visas

As a Pakistani student planning to study in France, you need to apply for the appropriate visa based on your course duration:

  • Short-stay Student Visa (Visa de court séjour pour études): For short-term courses or programs lasting up to 3 months.
  • Temporary Long-stay Visa (Visa de long séjour temporaire pour études): For programs lasting between 3 to 6 months, without the need for a residence permit.
  • Long-stay Student Visa (VLS-TS): For Pakistani students pursuing higher education in France for courses longer than 6 months. This visa allows you to live in France for the duration of your studies, with the option to renew if needed.

Most Pakistani students apply for the Long-stay Visa (VLS-TS) for university programs.
